DTF (Direct-to-Film)

Process: The design is printed onto a special PET film using water-based textile inks. While the ink is still wet, a hot-melt adhesive powder is applied to the film. The powder is then cured via heat, creating a flexible transfer. Finally, the film is heat-pressed onto the garment, and the film is peeled away.
Features: Highly versatile and excellent for small batches or single items. It works on both light and dark fabrics without needing a white underbase on the garment itself. The print is durable and stretchy, though it does leave a thin, flexible plastic-like layer on the fabric, which can slightly reduce breathability compared to DTG.
Ideal Materials: Almost all textiles, including cotton, polyester, nylon, canvas, denim, and leather.

DTG (Direct-to-Garment)

Process: Specialized textile inks are sprayed directly onto the garment by a modified inkjet printer. For dark garments, a white ink underbase is usually printed first to ensure color vibrancy. The garment is then heat-cured to set the ink.
Features: Produces incredibly soft, breathable prints with high detail and color gradients, as the ink soaks into the fabric fibers. It is ideal for complex, full-color designs and one-off custom pieces. However, it is generally slower and more expensive per unit for large batches compared to screen printing.
Ideal Materials: Best suited for 100% cotton or high-cotton blend fabrics. It is not effective on polyester or synthetic materials.
